Nashville, Tenn. (May 24, 2010) – Women of Faith Worship, the debut album release from Thomas Nelson, is currently in the top 60 on the Praise & Worship/Choral chart this week , continuing to gain momentum by climbing the charts since its April 28, 2010 nationwide release.
Following in the legacy of prominent Women of Faith projects, Women of Faith Worship is the organization’s 15th worship album project to be released since Women of Faith first started holding events in 1996. Initially partnering with Integrity and Word on the Women of Faith Worship CDs, Women of Faith Worship is the first in-house collaboration to be released through Thomas Nelson.
Releasing on the heels of two 2010 Dove Award nominations for Praise & Worship Album of the Year and Inspirational Album of the Year with A Grand New Day (Women of Faith Worship Team; Chance Scoggins; Myrrh), Women of Faith Worship provides an engaging worship experience that serves as an extension beyond Women of Faith’s live events.
Women of Faith Worship features the trademark soaring vocals and tight harmonies from the talented members of the Women of Faith Worship team made up of Allison Abbott, Laura Cooksey, Janice Gaines, Corrie Henson, Michelle Swift, Jennifer Thigpen, Kara Tualatai and Jovaun Woods.
In addition to chart success and award recognitions, the Women of Faith Worship team recently wrapped up their 2010 Women of Faith Spring “Over the Top” and “Imagine” Tours. Reconvening in August 2010, the Women of Faith Worship Team will join a diverse line up of musical artists, speakers, authors, and performers coming together to create one-of-a-kind life-changing weekends for women nationwide in more than 29 cities across the country. Women of Faith are currently the nation’s largest live event for women that has reached more than 4 million women since 1996.
